Grand opening of Wirtgen Sweden – Wirtgen Group invests in Scandinavian location

The only way to get close to our customers is to be there in person. The Wirtgen Group is pursuing this philosophy in the continuous expansion of its global sales and service network. With the opening of the new subsidiary in Alvesta, the Wirtgen Group is consolidating and expanding its position in Sweden.

Official handover of keys to the new occupants: Stefan Wirtgen hands over the new Wirtgen Sweden subsidiary to Lars Görefält.

More than 200 guests accepted the invitation to the inauguration of the Wirtgen Sweden premises with representatives of the four Wirtgen Group product brands Wirtgen, Vögele, Hamm, and Kleemann. Wirtgen Sweden managing director Lars Görefält and Wirtgen Group managing partner Stefan Wirtgen performed the official opening. Afterwards, visitors had the opportunity to take a closer look at the subsidiary on a tour of the 15,000 m² site. A machine exhibit, presentation of selected Wirtgen Group technologies, and a live demo also gave them an excellent insight into the Group's broad product portfolio and solutions expertise.

Wirtgen cold milling machines, Vögele road pavers, Hamm rollers, and Kleemann crushers and screens: The machine exhibit on display at the opening of the Wirtgen Sweden subsidiary presented a cross-section of the Wirtgen Group product range and selected technologies.

State-of-the-art equipment for the best service – with added environmental value

High-specification rooms and state-of-the-art equipment provide the setting for the workplaces of the team of 25 in Alvesta – both for the employees in the three-story main building and for the service team in the workshop and the original and spare parts warehouse. The new building is a technological flagship: Eight borehole heat exchangers reaching a depth of up to 250 meters use geothermal technology to extract energy for heating and cooling. The modern system supplies the entire office complex and in doing so, is making a valuable contribution to protecting the environment.

All Wirtgen Group subsidiaries are bound by the same high quality standards as the German brand headquarters. This serves to ensure identical conditions for optimum customer service everywhere in the world. Managing director Lars Görefält is excited about the additional opportunities that the new subsidiary in Sweden offers: "The new premises allowed us to also expand our range of training courses. Know-how is a major key to success. Our customers will profit from increased expert knowledge in their day-to-day operations.”

Solutions in practice: During the live demo, the guests got a first-hand impression of the high performance and versatility of the Wirtgen Group machines.

The whole package from A to Z

Any customer who chooses the Wirtgen Group receives a carefully put-together and coordinated overall package, from the product through to service – starting with the sale of the machine and continuing through application consulting, technical support on the construction site or in the workshop, and varied training options with Wirtgen Group experts.

"With the new subsidiary in Alvesta as our main location and two branches in Frövi and Gothenburg, we are always close to our customers in Sweden, too, and perfectly positioned to meet their needs," says Görefält, looking to the bright future ahead.

Even closer to the customer: The new Wirtgen Group subsidiary in Alvesta offers considerably more space for workshop, spare parts inventory and training center.
